ANAHEIM, CALIF. — Medical processors were in the market for some serious automated help last year, at least according to robot maker Sepro America LLC, which saw a 34 percent increase over 2012 sales in 2013.

North American sales have gone from being the company’s third ranking market to No. 1 over the last five years, the company says.

Sales in the western U.S. particularly bolstered North American sales last year, said Sepro regional sales manager Paul Rudzinski in February at the MD&M West trade show in Anaheim.

“In the last two or three years, Sepro has revamped almost its entire portfolio,” he said. “The company has really kept moving forward with product development.”

Sales to medical processors in California and automotive molders in Texas lead the 2013 sales, said Jim Heay, vice president of sales and marketing, in part because of changes to distribution and amping up local service, particularly with Rudzinski’s knowledge base presence in the area.
